This week country music lost one of its biggest names. Naomi Judd of the Judds opposite daughter Wynona Judd passed away after a years long battle with severe depression. According to the New York Post, Judd passed away the night before the Country Music Hall of Fame ceremony in which she and Wynona were to be inducted (they were still inducted.)
“I didn’t prepare anything tonight because I knew mom would probably talk the most,” a tearful Wynonna told the audience at the Nashville ceremony. “I’m gonna make this fast, because my heart’s broken, and I feel so blessed. It’s a very strange dynamic, to be this broken and this blessed.”
