Okay let’s be frank we totally thought this was some sort of dramatic movie and had no idea it was a true story when we hit play. But according to reports and the movie, Simon Leviev not to be confused with the diamond guy is indefinitely banned from pretty much every dating app there is following the release of the film. The film in question revealed to the world how Leviev posed as a billionaire diamond king when in fact he was nothing more than a stunningly good scam artist.
Leviev ‘s story reportedly spanned several years; continents, several women, and a wild knack for the tallest tales one probably could even concoct in their mind. Match.com and most of its related sites that the company also owns (including Tinder) have all confirmed that Leviev is indefinitely banned for the shocking violation of its terms of service.
So how’d he do it?
We actually watched the film and it is pretty wild. Leviev impersonated what he called a diamond king claiming to numerous women that he was fabulously wealthy; extravagant, and madly in love with each of them. As such the women believed that it was okay to trust him despite never having met him until later on in their digital relationships.

His con reportedly ran from 2017 to 2019 and scammed more than $10m out of innocent women across Europe. He appears to have himself originated from Israel.
We’re not going to entirely spoil the film/documentary because we feel adults should definitely watch this one given the digital times we now live in. Please remember to do your due diligence when online dating and if you’re curious about someone inform your friends — it’s never a bad idea to have a second set of eyes helping you investigate that potential online date.
