Walmart to offer more than 1m online items at STEEPLY discounted prices

In a bid to finally catch up to Amazon in the online price wars.  According to Walmart, beginning April 19, the Discount Program begins. What that is?  Per the store its a discount program meant to get people to buy things online only if they agree to one single stipulation: they must pick it up in store.

The chain hopes to eventually expand its program to more than 1m products and “has high hopes of catching up to the likes of Amazon”.  Analysts aren’t keen on the details of the program mostly “because it defeats the purpose of online shopping already”.

Amazon declined to comment on the news of a potential threat to its online shopping empire.
