Despite being profiled in Netflix’s Making a Murderer, and an overturned conviction, a federal judge and an appellate court has blocked his ordered release.
Originally, Dassey was ordered to be released Friday by 8pm. The order came from a federal judge who decided that there was sufficient enough evidence to suggest that he had been coerced into confessing to homicide.
Documents confirmed that Dassey’s latest revelation has been overturned and now he must remain in jail pending a resolution to the case.
