Queen Elizabeth II to get sovereign grant increase

Despite calls from party leaders and the like to scrap the grant all together. According to financial reports released from the Palace, the Queen’s sovereign grant is expected to raise 6.5% for the next fiscal year to £45.6 million in 2017/18.

The Queen gets a grant of the kind every single year, and, under current law cannot fall under or below the last year’s fiscal roundup.  Graham Smith, CEO of Republic, has issued a startling demand that the palaces’ allowance become under agreement with parliament to prevent excessive spending.
