Marxist BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors is getting big $$ from big tech

And that money is allegedly causing the firms to block articles that are critical of her and her lavish spending sprees that come on the back of projects and associations with the BLM movement. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Cullors went on a luxurious spending spree buying numerous high-end homes. Those purchases set off a wave of criticism considering much of Cullors wealth is believed to have come from her "activism" in association with the Black Lives Matter movement. Cullors claimed in multiple social media messages at the time that criticisms of her purchases were "racist" though nobody had actually mentioned her skin color at the time. Criticisms largely stemmed from the fact that alike many before her, it had appeared in more ways than one that Cullors was direc...

A Black woman’s house was raided in a botched raid by Chicago police, the bodycam footage has now been released

Adding to the long list of police offenses in 2020 — Chicago police desperately tried to get this footage out of the hands of news stations. Having failed doing that, er, the footage aired on local T.V stations in Chicago this week. The footage reportedly shows one Anjanette Young in her home being confronted at the door with a dozen armed officers and a search warrant. The problem is that cops had the wrong home but made no effort to verify such before handcuffing her naked all of which was caught on bodycam footage. Viewer discretion is advised. Young filed a complaint in 2019 against the police for unlawful detainment and obviously forcing their way into the wrong home. It is unclear the status of the complaint. A judge however recently ruled that the Chicago PD ‘s attem...

Florida expands Stand Your Ground law to target protesters and alleged rioters

The state of Florida is making headlines this week because they’ve updated their controversial Stand Your Ground law (the law that initially resulted in George Zimmerman getting away with murder.) The Stand Your Ground law for those that don’t know is a controversial law that allows pretty much anyone to act as a police officer if they feel they’re in danger or may witness what they see as a crime. The problem with the law is that it made international headlines after George Zimmerman claimed under that law he had the right to murder a Black teenager named Trayvon Martin — who was doing nothing more than walking to and from 7-11. But it gets worse... As defined by Florida law: If the person reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily...

Remember Amy Cooper? She’s back in the news — here’s why

The white woman identified as Amy Cooper in the bizarre Central Park incident earlier this year is back in the news. According to the Manhattan DA ‘s office and the prosecutors in the case — they’ve uncovered that she made a 2nd phone call falsely telling police that Christian Cooper (no relation) tried to violently assault her. Apparently, when the cops arrived they attempted to investigate both phone calls but Cooper had then informed them at the time that such an attempt of assault never actually happened. Christian Cooper is a Black man — this could have ended a very different way for the New York man. Cooper has since been charged with a misdemeanor count of falsely reporting a fake crime to the police.

Did you know U.S cops use Ketamine during arrests? #BlackLivesMatter

In our attempts to better cover the #BlackLivesMatter movement; why it matters, and why people are rightfully upset --- I decided to dig into a topic that I will confess I didn't know much about. Truthfully, I had no idea that U.S cops use an otherwise questionably used drug to sedate would-be prisoners that for whatever reason they may deem a "threat." Teresa Crawford, Associated Press file Denver officials have now opened a review in the death of Elijah McClain. The review comes amid reports that many didn't realise that he was injected with Ketamine during the arrest although grounds for such may not have been fully there. The Denver Post reports that officials opened up the review after sketchy terms from the EMS emerged. By terms, we mean the fact that EMS allege...

In ongoing Battle for Portland, police are losing ground to people demanding justice

The long-running Battle For Portland certainly isn't ending anytime soon. Protesters once again took to the streets last night and this time apparently the bad-apples within those protesters allegedly made car bomb threats towards federal buildings. The Mark O. Hatfield Courthouse in Portland, shown during a protest July 31, was closed Friday.   (AP Photo/Noah Berger, File) The FBI is now investigating the apparent claims amid police concerns that local federal buildings (including ICE) could potentially be bombed. It's worth noting that the actual protesters simply want to have a seat at the table to discuss structural changes, something that has not been offered by Portland Police or the FBI. It remains unclear whether or not any of the so-called threats we...

Kodak Black in his quest to visit jail again, has plead guilty to federal charges

In the life of Kodak Black, one must wonder if he’s actually on a semi regular conquest to stay behind bars. Black is already jailed on sexual assault charges dating back to 2016. This week the hip hop community learned that Black had plead guilty to federal weapons charges weeks after his arrest. He was originally arrested by federal agents at the Rolling Loud Festival. Photo credit: Brian Entin Complex Magazine reports that these gun charges appear to revolve around the fact that he knowingly lied to gun distributors in Florida. Once in January of this year and again months later. He is scheduled to be arraigned officially in November and faces a maximum of up to 10 years in prison and a $250k fine.

“WELCOME TO HELL ON A ROPE”

Patrick Brosch and Officer A. Smith from 306 22nd St to the Mounted Patrol Unit on 21st and Market escorting Donald Neely to booking, quite literally bound by a rope. This is not a joke. Police in Texas are catching intense criticism online today as images of cops leading a black man under arrest by a rope to booking have surfaced online. No, that first line in this article was not a joke and this is very very real as it is absolutely terrifying. It appeears Neely is openly homeless and it is publicly known thanks to his family that he is suffering from mental illness. Despite such (and the local PD confirmed that they were familiar with him) they decided not to wait for an actual transport, instead, tied him to a rope and escorted him as they rode their horses. The D...

Black Panther Drama: Racist white people are targeting black movie-goers

Because Black Panther is out, and, black folks are turning up in droves across the United States to see the movie.  According to Vox, racist trolls are out in force using fake photos of actual domestic violence victims trying to pass them off as actual white people who were hurt trying to attend a screening of the film. Here's how it started. Buzzfeed reports that images started to surface online suggesting that white people who were attending the movie premiere, were, ehum, being viciously attacked by black attendees. Although, the same website, later found out that many of the images used -- were actually stolen from previously published news articles and or social media profiles. One of the images used, which is shocking in itself, was of an 18-year-old woman who was savagely ...

#BlackLivesMatter and why we’re rallying behind #FreeDeray

In the 13 years we've existed, we, have largely remained politically and socially silent to nix controversy over what we may or may not say. This time, perhaps, we've decided otherwise. Last night,  Black Rights activist Deray McKesson was arrested illegally in Baton Rouge Louisiana during a protest over the murders of Alton Sterling and the numerous other African American men who have lost their lives in the past week. Call the Baton Rouge police department and demand the release of Deray and his protesters. 225-389-3800 All at the hands of police. People are chanting "All Lives Matter", but that isn't true. All  lives will matter when people of color and African Americans can walk to a corner store for a snack, and, not get gunned down out of a stereotype because someone is sca...

Black Lives Matter, Your take?

Black Lives Don’t Matter

This is an open-letter in response to the mass murders of Alton Sterling; Philando Castile, and the other gentlemen who lost their lives at the hands of racist cops who felt no better than to pull the trigger. Truth is, to those that are not black, Black Lives Don't Matter.  And that's a fact that we, as black human beings, have to face in our modern world. In the past four years, dozens upon dozens of innocent black people have lost their lives at the hands of law enforcement. Sandra Bland;  Travyon Martin,  Eric Gardner, Michael Brown,  Alton Sterling, Philando Castile,  Tamir Rice,  I could go on. All of these people have had one thing in common: being black. But in every case, in every murder, a conviction was never brought against any one single law enforcement officer involved....
