Alright travelers listen up. According to Heathrow Airport in London departures are set to be pretty difficult and limited to 100,000 a day through September as the airport continues to battle staff shortages. According to officials, the airport maintains that as a result of the shortages customer service is inadequate and must be addressed. The temporary measure is set to last through 11 September.
Heathrow CEO John Holland-Kaye said in an open letter to passengers on July 12 that “over the past few weeks, as departing passenger numbers have regularly exceeded 100,000 a day, we have started to see periods when service drops to a level that is not acceptable.”
