In a major blow to the very idea of Twitter Elon Musk has announced some of his own ideas for the future of the social network. According to CNN, the billionaire almost Twitter owner has announced that some commercial and government users may see charges tacked onto their accounts in the future. It is understood to be one of many ways that Musk has promised banks and those behind the financing deal that he would do what it took to dramatically cut costs and improve revenue margins.
Meanwhile, Twitter itself in its latest filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission related to the takeover, Twitter said that, “Until the transaction closes, it is business as usual for us, including with respect to our products.”
