This time an Olympic sportswoman. According to police in Utah, a former Olympian is in prison this week on charges that she defrauded the PPP loan programme for millions. Alike her fellow fraudsters, Allison Baver, 41, lied on her applications for numerous PPP loans claiming her entertainment company had hundreds of employees and millions in payroll expenses.
A press release from the area’s government revealed that Baver has been hit with 9 federal charges and is looking at a hefty prison sentence. Ironically, she claimed to have about 430 employees on the books but in actuality had close to zero.
