New details in the case against Jennifer and James Crumbley

A duo which is now largely known to America as two who couldn’t do right by their own child. According to prosecutors in the case, the case against the two has been strengthened by mounting evidence that Ethan had for quite some time been a threat to himself and those around him. Prosecutors allege that both parents knew that and willfully disregarded that fact which then resulted in the manifestation of Ethan ‘s desire to kill.

CNN Reports:

Ethan according to prosecutors could have been prevented had the couple actually parented their child.

“The facts laid out in the brief we submitted to the court today speak for themselves,” Oakland County, Michigan, Chief Assistant Prosecutor David Williams said in a statement. “And based on those facts, we strongly believe that the bond for James and Jennifer Crumbley was set appropriately.”

Prosecutors also reaffirmed their belief that the bond in the case had been appropriately set at $500,000. That comment followed the other revelation that when the two were caught they apparently had four cell phones on them while attempting to destroy one of them.

Another document filed shows that prosecutors discovered that the couple knew Ethan was devastatingly disturbed about six months ago. Instead they were having affairs on each other; doing illicit and illegal drugs, and outright ignoring their child.

Prosecutors allege Ethan Crumbley made "modifications" to his drawing after it was discovered. The original drawing is on the left.
