Smollett perhaps now best known for being a liar is appealing the guilty verdicts against him. According to CNN, Smollett ‘s lawyer confirmed on Thursday evening that the former actor plans to appeal all of the charges because he “respectfully disagrees” with them.
Nenye Uche, his lawyer, released the following statement regarding the matter.
“He [Smollett] is 100% confident that this will be reversed on appeal,” Uche said. “At the end of the day, we believe justice will prevail. We don’t believe it was done today but we’re very confident that he will be cleared and he will be found to be innocent.”
