As it has come to be it appears the NYPD union and its chief might be well actually is in some trouble. According to reports the union chief and its station along with his long island home were raided this week. While unclear the exact scope of the raid, Mullins has resigned following said raid although his resignation was just about as vague as the explanation as to why they were raided to begin with.
But Mullins’ trouble goes back farther than most probably realise anyway. As the head of the NYPD ‘s union Mullins has often expressed his distaste for Black people; liberals, and is often known for his staunch and often very aggressive tactics that had led to thousands of complaints against NYPD officials and its officers. Mullins perhaps was best known to New Yorkers as the chief of the Sergeants Benevolent Association. The SBA, however, appears to have been a driving force behind his reported resignation.
CBS reports that it does not appear anyone else has been targeted but Mullins has.
