Scores of arrests have now taken place over the violent assault on a Jewish man that took place in New York City

Just days after a violent assault on a Jewish man was captured on video, the NYPD is making yet more arrests in connection to the case. This time, Faisal Elezzi, 25, has been arrested and jailed for the vicious crime.

In New York City crime is more rampant than ever before. The attack on Joseph Borgen, 29, was captured on video by a bystander that shocked Jewish community members in the area. The attacks come at the height of anti-Jewish sentiments in America against the backdrop of mounting tensions in Israel and Palestine.

Borgen, 29, was repeatedly punched and kicked by Faisal and Waseem Awawdeh, 23 both of which appear to be still in jail pending charges. The DA ‘s office has not publicly revealed what charges they will be facing over the case though they probably will be fairly hefty.

The NYPD ‘s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the video and according to multiple reports is poised to make even more arrests. Police are stepping up their presence in Jewish dominant communities in New York City as a result of the crime.
