BOULDER, COLORADO — Local authorities and news outlets have confirmed reports that an active shooting situation is unfolding in Boulder. As of this writing, it appears that the suspect has been apprehended though it is unclear how exactly it unfolded. According to several reports, the shooting unraveled at a local King Soopers in the area.

The suspect has not yet been identified by name though we are aware of at least one arrest. CBS Denver has the reported photograph of the shirtless man being led away by local police and SWAT shirtless. We’re following this story as it continues to develop. It is the latest major case of violence in less than 30 or so days in the United States, a country that has seen a terrifying rise in violence.
