ICYMI: RiRi is stopping her fashion line with LVMH

As it turns out even Louis Vuitton and Rihanna can’t get out of the pandemic entirely unscathed. According to Buzzfeed News, Rihanna ‘s “Fenty” fashion house has been placed on indefinite hold amid the pandemic and uncertainty due to said pandemic.

Though the house is being placed on hold Rihanna ‘s skincare and cosmetics empire will continue. A spokesperson for LVMH confirmed that both of her cosmetic lines and such will continue as they are wildly profitable and successful.

“Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW [Ready To Wear] activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions,” a spokesperson told BuzzFeed News.

“Following the completion of a fundraising round where [private equity company] L Catterton has taken a stake into Savage X Fenty, LVMH and Rihanna reaffirm their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare, and lingerie,” they added.

Of course Twitter wasted no time with their think pieces.
