NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE — Over the course of early Christmas morning, downtown Nashville found itself in the midst of an investigation into whether or not an explosion via a car may have been something more sinister. According to reports, no less than an hour ago, a car exploded out of random and it was unclear as to why.
According to several tweets that followed after the explosion; ATF, the bomb squad, and local police are now investigating the scene as a potential site of detonated car bombs. It is unclear how exactly the bombs may have gotten there as the investigation is underway.
Local police have since confirmed that they believe the act to have been intentional and an investigation is underway. At this time it is still unclear who did it or why.
The explosion reportedly occurred near 2nd Avenue by way of a suspicious vehicle that had been seen in the area.
