A COVID denying doctor in Oregon has been stripped of his license

Last updated on 2020-12-07

COVID deniers are on the rise these days and they’re getting more brazen in their disinformation campaigns than ever before. As the weekend took off, it emerged that a particular doctor in Oregon is no longer a doctor after appearing maskless at a far-right event this week. That doctor not only appeared maskless, but, he also appeared to suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic was nothing more than a mild cold.

The argument that COVID-19 is a mild cold is in fact a talking point of most far-right groups and extreme individuals. These are the same individuals that argue COVID was created by Democrats to steal the show.

Dr. Steven LaTulippe is the doctor per officials. LaTulippe apparently appeared at a pro-Trump rally where he made the shocking remarks considering he is in fact a licensed doctor. However, several patients had previously complained about his medical guidance prior to the awkward event that cost him his license.

“I hate to tell you this. I might scare you, but I and my staff, none of us, once wore a mask in my clinic,” LaTulippe told a cheering crowd. That crowd was also simultanenously protesting the same unfounded and baseless claims currently surrounding so-called election fraud. “I want to expose what I call ‘corona-mania.'”

An order issued by the Oregon Medical Board revealed that his anti-COVID manic propaganda went a little further. He and his staff members often would request that patients entering the facility also take off their masks because COVID wasn’t (“real.”) As of this writing, more than 270,000 Americans have lost their lives to a virus that half of America has convinced themselves doesn’t even exist.
