NY to pull funding from New York City, several areas amid row over lockdown orders

The desperate row over lockdown orders in New York continues today as government officials in Albany are threatening to pull school and neighborhood(s) funding from hot-bed areas of the Coronavirus. According to Governor Andrew Cuomo, schools and neighborhood’s that are refusing to close down and concede to orders —- will not receive any of their funding which shockingly includes New York City itself in the threat.

The hardest hit areas include: New York City, Orange County, Rockland County, the Town of Ramapo and the Village of Spring Valley.

“I don’t like to [withhold funding] — budgets are tough all across the board,” he said during a press conference. “I don’t know how else to actually do the enforcement they need to do. Hopefully that will motivate them, because nothing else I have done has motivated them.”
