The U.S set a blistering new COVID-19 record, they were warned but didn’t listen

Despite several warnings from health officials; critics, experts, and almost every possible person or entity one could think of — America just doesn’t listen. This week marked yet another grim milestone in the battle against COVID-19 in the country as more than 89,000 new cases are being recorded every day. Despite the claims made by the Trump Administration —- not all of those cases can be chalked up to the simple idea of increased testing. They can also be accounted for the fact that lots of people either don’t wear masks; don’t wear them correctly, or simply don’t social distance at all where appropriate. Yet despite the momentum gaining in the battle against the Coronavirus —- Donald Trump remains steadfast in his literally bizarre denial that any of this is actually re...

This asteroid is believed to be worth $10,000 quadrillion

Space junkies rejoice. NASA is back in the news this week (after a series of revelations in 2020 that have lots of people questioning space in itself.) This time, however, the space agency confirmed the already known existence of an asteroid called Psyche. Psyche is making headlines in itself because the 140 lb potato looking asteroid is believed to be worth upwards of $10,000 quadrillion. That’s roughly 19 zeros for anyone who like us was scratching their head trying to figure out how to say such a number. According to experts, it is widely believed that the asteroid is what was left of a protoplanet from likely millions of years ago. The interesting part about the asteroid is that it likely (when they finally reach it that is) tell us some of the origins of earth and ho...

Deadliest shipwreck of 2020 adds to the hellish year that has been 2020

2020 as the headline suggests has been a year that we are all certainly waiting to end. Unfortunately, as the year comes to a close we’ve obviously got quite a few more loops and hoops to jump through before that happens. According to the United Nations Migration Agency more than 140 migrants drowned off the coast of Senegal this week after the ship they were on capsized. Per CNN, a few dozen managed to be rescued although the others weren’t. It remains not totally clear as to what caused the capsizing of the vessel.

America now has a conservative majority on the court, and that is very much a bad thing

Make no mistake —- there are good conservatives and bad conservatives just like bad Dems and good Dems exist. The problem with conservatives like Amy Coney Barrett isn’t necessarily the fact that she’s conservative, it’s the fact that she swears by a document that was written hundreds of years ago and hasn’t adapted to the times. I’m referencing the constitution here guys. I’m sure we can all agree to some degree that the constitution most certainly has served its intendned purpose and then some. The right to freedom of speech; the right to bear arms, the right of the press, and so on. But conservative interpretation of the constitution almost always tends to go backwards instead of forwards advancing with the times. It is in fact not 1902 anymore. It is 2020 in the 21st ce...

Amy Coney Barrett has been confirmed to the Supreme Court, setting the stage for reversals on almost every major policy

Amy Coney Barrett —- the latest member of Trump ‘s squad to gang up on the government has taken up her space on the Supreme Court. Late Monday evening, the Republican led effort to have her questionably installed on the court succeeded in a party line vote. It is widely expected that Barrett will begin work on the court tomorrow, as she would be lawfully allowed to do so if she sees fit. Her confirmation comes just days ahead of the election that already in itself is expected to end up in the hands of the Supreme Court. It remains pretty clear where Barrett stands on numerous issues, most of which would take America back decades to a time that anyone who wasn’t white and male wasn’t welcome. It is expected that she will begin work tomorrow taking up abortion issues and most ev...

Jared Kushner: Blacks have to want to be successful to be successful

Jared Kushner -- the out of touch asshole in the Trump Administration wants Americans to know that the reason Black folks aren't successful is because they don't want to be. In the asinine remarks -- Kushner claimed that Black people just don't realise the good that Trump apparently has done because they don't want to be successful. What might come as a surprise to Kushner, er, is that couldn't be any further from the truth. These are comments you just can't make up. https://twitter.com/CornellWBrooks/status/1320823254655913984?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

A woman has been jailed after beating her girlfriend’s 3-year-old son to death with a tire iron

A Florida horror story to kick off your week. Late last week, a woman found herself charged in the death of a 3-year-old boy that she reportedly beat to death with a tire iron —- for having hopped on the bathroom counter to brush his teeth. You’re reading that right. Te’Lea Jefferson, 23, was arrested on 20 Oct after police were called to the home she shared with the toddler ‘s mother. According to police reports, the boy was found with severe injuries that required immediate transport to the emergency room. This is in fact where it gets murky. Jefferson initially claimed that he had fallen off of the bathroom counter, however, ER staff told police that such wasn’t the case and his injuries were too severe for that. As it turns out — Jefferson killed the boy the sam...

The Welsh Government (temporarily?) tried to stop the sale of women’s tampons for reasons that are unclear

Firebreak lockdown; tampons, and Tesco. If that sounds like the subject of a conservative memo --- that's because that's just what it appears to be. Over the weekend, a woman known only as Katie decidedly went to Tesco to buy her feminine products as one normally would. One could easily guess that controversy quickly followed. What is a firebreak lockdown? The Welsh Government implemented a confusing ban on non-essential items amid rising cases of the Coronavirus. Somebody high up in the government told Tesco not to tell tampons at their store --- otherwise this wouldn't have happened. This is called a firebreak lockdown -- which is "designed" to prevent people from spending allot of time in stores. The problem is that women's tampons are most definitely essential. ...

The White House has admitted that they have no intention of mitigating the Coronavirus, as cases skyrocket nationwide

White House big mouth Mark Meadows likely won’t have a job by the end of the week but at least on his way out he confirmed what we all knew to begin with. In a very weird interview over the weekend, Meadows admitted that the White House has scrapped any and all plans to actually mitigate the Coronavirus and instead is depending solely on a yet to be discovered vaccine. Alex Brandon/ AP 'Here's what we have to do. We're not going to control the pandemic, we are going to control the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigations,' Meadows said in his interview on 'State of the Union.' The comments almost instantly sparked criticism online as America is slowly but inevitably ticking its way back to yet another major outbreak. Republican denialism and propaganda has...

Right-wing militias pose heavy risk for election-related violence on Election Night: Report

As the election nears closer --- you might've noticed that right-wing Americans and some of the militia counterparts have been sharing some pretty bizarre videos online. Now those videos along with weeks worth of research, see here, suggest that election night in America (in at least some cities) could prove to be a dangerous task for some because of those very same people. The review suggests that Trump 's rhetoric could prove to be deadlier than it already has been throughout his first term as President. For example, earlier this year Trump suggested that the Proud Boys Stand Back and Standby -- a notion that they apparently took as means to prepare to attack. That notion was evidenced by the many videos online by presumed members of the Proud Boys suggesting that one way or ...
