Barbad0s b00ting Queen Elizabeth as its head of state

Come next November Queen Elizabeth is the head of state of one less territory. According to the government of Barbados, The Prime Minister has announced that decades after gaining independence —- the almost former British colony will indefinitely transition to its own style of government. Per the PM, that style of government will include of course a Barbadian head of state.

The government confirmed this week that the transition will be complete by next November to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the country gaining independence. The last country to boot the Queen as its head of state was Mauritius in 1992.
