In ongoing Battle for Portland, police are losing ground to people demanding justice

The long-running Battle For Portland certainly isn’t ending anytime soon. Protesters once again took to the streets last night and this time apparently the bad-apples within those protesters allegedly made car bomb threats towards federal buildings.

The FBI is now investigating the apparent claims amid police concerns that local federal buildings (including ICE) could potentially be bombed. It’s worth noting that the actual protesters simply want to have a seat at the table to discuss structural changes, something that has not been offered by Portland Police or the FBI.

It remains unclear whether or not any of the so-called threats were actually credible. Protests have rocked Portland since May over the murder of George Floyd, and not at any point have Portland officials drawn protesters to the table with their leaders to discuss change.
