America smashes a deadly Coronavirus record (and it’s only getting slowly worse)

America is one of few places on earth where masks and safety measures have become so polarising, you’d think. masks were a sign of warfare rather than a sign of safety. Over the weekend — John Hopkins University released the latest Coronavirus numbers and they don’t look pretty.

As of Sunday, the U.S has recorded a whopping 5m+ places (more than any other country in the world) and is holding steady at the highest death rate related to the virus at more than 160,000. According to the same University, the U.S is recording a mind-boggling 54,000 cases a day while millions continue to outright refuse to take part in widespread safety measures.

Here’s the problem

Health officials are now warning that due to testing issues; delays, problems with determining just how many exactly died from COVID-19 — means that the death toll and case load is probably at least 10x higher than currently written. Some experts even believe that the sheer number of cases could be in the neighbourhood of 50m.
