Turns out, there are Black People in the State Dept who can actually stick up for themselves

Somebody find Mary Elizabeth Taylor and get this lady a coffee and a trip to the spa immediately. This week — Mary Elizabeth Taylor, 30, the first black woman to serve as the assistant secretary for legislative affairs within the State Department resigned amid racial tensions in America.

Taylor is actually a registered Republican which makes the rebuke against Trump ‘s administration even more stunning.

‘Moments of upheaval can change you, shift the trajectory of your life, and mold your character,’ she wrote in her resignation letter, obtained by The Washington Post

‘The President’s comments and actions surrounding racial injustice and Black Americans cut sharply against my core values and convictions.
