Seller/Buyer Beware: A young woman tried to use Poshmark to sell a high-end Chanel handbag, what happened next was shocking

If you’re a fashion-head or a fashion user of any kind — chances are you’ve probably heard of Poshmark or its app at this point in your fashion-loving daily life. Poshmark is similar to apps like Offerup and such but is mainly geared towards clothes of all kinds — alas including high end designer items.

This is one of those you have to actually see it to believe it. According to Buzzfeed News, a 19-year-old Los Angeles resident is in the news this week after an apparent mini red handbag (Chanel) that she tried to sell went missing.

How does Poshmark work?

  1. Post item
  2. Wait for responses
  3. Determine who is legit
  4. Have it shipped out upon payment
  5. If buyer doesn’t find satisfaction they can initiate a return.

However, for one Olivia Broberg, it apparently didn’t go down that way. According to a TikTok video posted online, Broberg ‘s bag was stolen by the buyer who initially claimed to Poshmark that they weren’t satisfied with their purchase. In the beginning, Poshmark actually tried to claim that the young woman had filed a fraudulent claim when they were alerted to the theft.

Poshmark is super sketch for this one…

Poshmark maintains that they didn’t intercept the bag when it was returned, however, nobody’s quite sure whom is telling the truth.

Users should definitely tread lightly on Poshmark…
