For the first time in history, NYC ‘s Saint Patty ‘s parade spectacular will not go on as scheduled

As one would guess it’s because of the rising fear of the coronavirus within the city. And as a New Yorker myself, I can attest to the fact that things are getting pretty serious in the boroughs as people scatter to stock up on items; food, and essentials now that most have been ordered home.

On Wednesday evening, the Mayor ‘s office confirmed that for the first time in its 258 year history the parade will not go on as scheduled. The parade is among the many staples of life in New York, although that size of a crowd at the time in which a major virus is floating around — just wasn’t a smart idea for the city.
