Patreon boots page claiming to be Jocelyn Savage because nobody knows if it’s her

And for good reason. According to Patreon, they’ve found themselves in the midst of press they probably don’t want. For those that have been living under a rock, a page appeared online last week claiming to be that of Jocelyn Savage — the woman R. Kelly lived with for years leading up to his stint in federal prison.

The site notes that they apparently made numerous attempts to verify the identity of the account holder, although all of them were unsuccessful. Patreon then confirmed in a now released statement all of the above and that everybody who subscribed indeed did get a refund. The world will never actually know if that was Savage behind those now sordid stories.

The original claim:

“I have Partnered up with @Patreon where I will post daily chapters of my story,” she captioned a word video with Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” playing in the background. “Things I am going to reveal that was sweared not to see the day of light — by NDA. I am risking my life for many others. ‪This story is 18+ and only for mature audience, I want to make sure my story is very detailed as I can remember. My first story “Where It All Started” is out now. patreon.com/Joycelynsavage ‬(Link is bio),” she captioned a now deleted IG post on a page we weren’t able to confirm is actually her.

Patreon quickly pounced on the page and the “chapters” by demanding that the user confirm who they are..

“After multiple unsuccessful attempts to verify the identity of the account holder, we closed the Patreon page allegedly associated with Joycelyn Savage due to potential impersonation. All patrons who signed up for the membership page were refunded and the creator did not receive any funds.”
