Let’s face it Tuesday could’ve gone much better for Republicans, but as of this moment, it appears that they’ve continued to hand Democrats fuel to their fire that appears to lead to impeachment. Rep Devin Nunes led the epic blunders of the day after misranking Lt Alexander Vindman.
It’s worth noting …Morrison is a Republican witness not a Democrat.
But perhaps it was the testimony of Tim Morrison that should and rightly so leave many Republicans running for the hills. The former ambassador testified that by way of a 1 September phone call, he confirmed that there was indeed a quid-pro quo. His testimony is actually awfully detailed and one of the most detailed up to this point.
“What did Ambassador Sondland tell you that he told Mr. Yermak?” Democratic counsel Daniel Goldman asked Morrison. Morrison replied, “That the Ukrainians would have to have the prosecutor general make a statement with respect to the investigations as a condition of having the aid lifted.”
