House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is making headlines around the world today after her comments during a Morning Joe segment hit the internet. In her first interview since confirming Donald Trump is now the subject of a formal impeachment inquiry, Pelosi made it clear that their focus is on the illegal contents of a call between Trump and the Ukraine.
For those whom haven’t caught up yet, let’s take it back a moment. Earlier this week, it emerged that Donald Trump held a secret phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In that phone call, transcripts show that Trump repeatedly alluded to having the Ukrainian leader open an investigation into Trump ‘s 2020 rival: Joe Biden.
In lesser terms, it appears by all accounts that Trump alluded to the Ukraine digging up dirt on Biden which is illegal and considered an impeachable offence by Washington standards. As a result, and as Pelosi made it clear during her interview, Donald Trump very well could be removed from office over his actions during the July phone call.
Pelosi also claimed in the wide-ranging interview that she is fully aware that William Barr has gone rogue as an agent within the Department of Justice.
‘He’s gone rogue,’ the speaker said of Barr on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe.’
‘I think where they’re going is a cover-up of the cover-up,’ she added. ‘And that’s really very sad for them. And to have a Justice Department go so rogue, well, they had been for a while.’

‘I would like to have the attorney general call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it,’ Trump told Zelensky about an investigation he wanted into CrowdStrike” – Trump to the Ukraine via that transcript.
