LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY — Unfortunate News today in Lexington as federal authorities have confirmed they’ve found the remains of a missing 23-year-old Mom.
That Mom has reportedly been identified as Savannah Spurlock, who had disappeared earlier this year on 4 January. Authorities say that they believe three men drove Spurlock to a remote home about 40 miles from the bar they met at.
Authorities confirmed to The Daily News that at this time one person, identified as David Sparks, has been arrested in connection to the discovery. A tangible tip led police to a remote home in Garrard County due to a foul odor discovered by a nearby neighbor.
Sparks is believed to be one of the three men and one of the last to see her alive. He has been charged with tampering with a corpse and tampering with evidence.
The remains were dug up on the property shortly after 5pm on Wednesday. A full medical examiners report is expected and will confirm the identity of the remains.
