Capital One Data Breach

Capital One once again is suffering from a data breach.

Between March 22 and 23, Paige Thompson a software engineer, hacked into Capital One servers through a faulty security glitch. According to the bank the following information was lifted in the hack, Thompson was able to obtain

“140,000 Social Security numbers, 1 million Canadian Social Insurance numbers and 80,000 bank account numbers, in addition to an undisclosed number of people’s names, addresses, credit scores, credit limits, balances, and other information.”

This information is according to the bank and the US Department of Justice.

More than 100 million people in the United States and Canada were affected.

If you are a Capital One customer do not throw caution to the wind.
