Horrifying news in London today after it has emerged that a local man has been charged with intentionally infecting two women with HIV. According to court documents, a jury yesterday heard the case of Aaron Sutcliffe, 29, who knowingly “infected two young women with HIV, leaving, one of them to care for her child wearing only gloves out of fear for their health’.
Under UK law, we, are not allowed to name either of the women — and will only identify them are Jane & Jane. Jane #1 reportedly told the Crown Court that she had felt “like I had been sentenced to a life sentence, when, I in fact did nothing wrong” reads one part of the shocking document. Sutcliffe, uh, has been sentenced to 6 years and 9 months in prison.
Oddly enough, per docs, Sutcliffe took his rouse a bit further after one woman had asked him to take a test with her. It was revealed during the hearing that he “knowingly tricked her” into thinking that they had received their diagnoses at the same time, when in fact, that wasn’t anywhere near the case.
The judge presiding over the case, ehum, had no polite words for the person they deemed a “coward”.
You willfully and deliberately withheld your status to two women that you professed to care for. That was deceitful, calculated and manipulative.
“You took the coward’s way out, kept your silence and infected them. You had no right to do so.
“You bore an overwhelming responsibility for your own selfish actions which have left such devastation in your wake.”
