When in doubt, uh, Michael Goff III thought the only answer to his problems was to kill his father. Documents obtained from state troopers in Nashville show that Goff III murdered his “father in cold blood, and then, disposed of his body in a bizarre body-bag style killing in a nearby wooded area”.
Michael Goff III has since been remanded to state custody. Docs show that the two had apparently gotten into a typical dispute that most parents go through, but then, it decidedly turned deadly when Goff III didn’t get what he wanted.
The killing reportedly occurred back in May, but, only made headlines and news as of late due to the fact his trial finally came. On 28 May, witnesses reportedly told prosecutors and police that he had shown up at school with multiple wounds and scratches on his hands. At the time, perhaps, fellow students and friends were concerned.
The body was reportedly discovered in a wooded area near the Lincoya Bay Apartments.
The concern reportedly grew after Goff III admitted that he had “killed someone just days before” and didn’t have any remorse or regret about his actions. The witness, who has not been identified, reportedly last saw Michael Goff Jr, 56, alive on 26 May. On that particular day, Goff III, allegedly admitted to him that at that time he had killed his father and taken multiple things from his body afterwards.
