Coca Cola ‘s less than brilliant Mexican ad sparks backlash

Bad advertising appears to be a thing, that, perhaps, every company known to planet earth has  had a tango or two with these days. This time, Coca Cola, has found itself in the midst of major backlash after upsetting Mexico’s indigenous people following the release of an advert that featured “young attractive fair skinned people” in a country that is predominately populated by dark skinned people.

The ad, see below,  featured young people “turning up”  while passing out fizzy drinks and Christmas gifts to indigenous people in a small Mexican town.
