Over the weekend, two innocent black men were arrested at a Starbucks location in Center City. Why, were they arrested you say? As we reported before, uh, two men were arrested for no other reason than apparently being black (“while we waited for a friend”). Upon arriving at the Center City store, customer service reps, apparently called police on sight and reported them from trespassing.
Starbucks’ own CEO Kevin Johnson apparently came out Sunday in a (“lukewarm”) apologetic manner, citing, that “we can all learn from this”. But, failed to make a mention of whether or not the employee who exhibited clear racial discrimination would in fact be fired. Black Lives Matter activists far-and-wide have condemned Starbucks over the incident, with, many calling for the employee to be entirely fired.
