Zuckerberg responds to Cambridge Analytica scandal

Despite growing controversy over his own failure to address how his own company addressed one of the largest data breaches in history,  Zuckerberg, has finally spoken out.  According to a statement posted to Facebook on Wednesday,  Zuck, acknowledges the data breach and says that “at the end of the day I am responsible for what happens on our platform”. It, perhaps, is the first time that Zuckerberg has acknowledged the data breach.

In the midst of it all,  Cambridge Analytica (owned by billionaires   Mr. Mercer and his daughter Rebekah) has fallen into the eyes of congressional officials.  Its CEO has been suspended, and, videos have apparently surfaced of their tainted ways of handling data.   In case it couldn’t get any worse, Mark, didn’t actually acknowledge that Facebook has known this entire time.

“We have a responsibility to protect your data, and if we can’t then we don’t deserve to serve you,” Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post

Meanwhile, government officials from across the world are demanding answers from Facebook. Parliament in England; officials in America,  and even certain officials in south America are all ordering Facebook to hearings.
