One of the three men involved in the Rob Ford scandal has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, a lesser charge, to avoid going to trial. The news comes on the heels of Rob Ford’s approval rating skyrocketing.
Nisar Hashimi, who was charged three months ago in the death of Anthony Smith (a gang member) pleaded guilty to the lesser charge after a deal was reportedly struck to avoid going to trial. Hashimi was charged three months ago with the murder of Smith, a drug dealer he had gotten into a confrontation with outside of a Toronto nightclub.
