Affirmative Action; Black Students, and Judge Scalia

This week the United States Supreme Court heard an interesting case about colleges; black students, and said colleges use of affirmative action. In the hearing,  the court heard of how some colleges are "admitting students simply based on the fact they're black". To some, perhaps, including Scalia that's a problem. Scalia claims that putting "black students in colleges because they're black" would actually hurt them more academically than anything.  "They may suffer" if they didn't get into the school based on actual academic accomplishments. "There are those who contend that it does not benefit African Americans to get them into the University of Texas where they do not do well, as opposed to having them go to a less-advanced school, a slower-track school where they do well.
