The Legendary Voice of Minnie Mouse Dies

The iconic voice of Walt Disney's Minnie Mouse, Russi Taylor, passed away in Glendale, California, on July 26, 2019. She was 75. Taylor 30-year career is nothing short of monumental work. Her voice has been featured in television shows, theme parks, video games, and films both in and out of the Disney-verse. Most noted as the official voice of Minnie Mouse, a role she first took on 30 years ago after beating out 200 other Minnie Mouse hopefuls during a 1986 audition. A role in which Walt Disney gave to her personally. The Lion King Roaring Box Office Opening Numbers

Put the king next to the queen and reign would be immeasurable. It is not even the close of the weekend here on the east coast yet according to The Hollywood Reporter reports have claimed The Lion King opening box office weekend to have "Opened to a record-breaking $185 million at the North American box office over the weekend for an early global total of $531 million." The Lion King Review

Go see it! This is a movie I grew up on and where my love for big cats developed. This contemporary take on the 1994 timeless classic let me feeling high in spirits. There were lyrics from songs I heard for the first time, Be Prepared and I Just Can't Wait To Be King, which had me even more dropped into the film like never before. The legendary iconic James Earl Jones and Queen B were two performances I looked forward to and did not disappoint. I was waiting since 2017 for this particular film and I have to say it was well worth the wait. The difference between animated compared to live action film isn't too jarring.
