MOSCOW -- According to Russia: The Cold War Has Begun. And the "West" is to blame. Per Russia's Prime Minister, The Kremlin, is under the impression that due to the increasing military presence in neighboring countries the "United States is dutifully provoking the cold war".
The statements come just months after Russia annexed Crimea, essentially, creating another part of Russia. The annexation caused an international outcry; threats of war, and further sanctions against Russia by NATO and the UN.
The United States, however, has a different position as to why there is an increased presence in the area. Per the United States, the moves are simply "precautionary" rather than "a move to antagonize".
