Best of 2019: Ali Forney Center bringing shared affordable housing to East Harlem

Our Best of 2019 series here — and we’ve got some of the best moments from around the world rounded up for review.   These moments have either made us laugh like crazy;  helped us demand and organise proper change, or simply just improved the life of someone next to us.

According to a previous statement by the Ali Forney Center, the 10 floor building will not have an age cap and will not be limited just to LGBTQ folks.   The residences will feature shared living (minus the rooms, everybody will have their own room).  According to a previously released pamphlet,  tenants will pay their rent on a sliding scale.
