The UK has doubled the number of crisis beds on the Falkland Islands

In response to the growing number of cases from the novel Coronavirus, officials confirmed on Tuesday morning that the number of intensive care beds across the Falkland Islands have increased. The news comes amid reports that some on the islands are showing symptoms of the killer bug, the islands in which are home to more than 3k civilians and thousands of military personnel.

According to Sky News, British officials have now doubled those beds as the islands only have one actual hospital. Medics and other necessary gear are being flown into the islands in an effort to combat any possible clusters appearing in the regional area.
