Prince William & Kate are still doing that really awkward PR photo-op thing amid the Coronavirus

In the midst of a global pandemic, you would think Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are actually the dutiful leaders of the United Kingdom. But not because they’ve actually done much of anything substantial per say, but because they’re suddenly stepping face-first into the Coronavirus pandemic currently underway in the U.K.

KENSINGTON PALACE

In conjunction with new mental health guidelines by the Dept of Mental Health and Social Care, the royals released the following statement “reaffirming” their mission to challenge the status quo against mental health.

“The last few weeks have been anxious and unsettling for everyone. We have to take time to support each other and find ways to look after our mental health,” the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have long been advocates for mental health, said in a statement to multiple media outlets picked up Sunday morning.

“It is great to see the mental health sector working together with the NHS to help people keep on top of their mental well-being. By pulling together and taking simple steps each day, we can all be better prepared for the times ahead,” they added.
