The Dow Drops 200 Points: Is China and Cheap Oil To Blame?

The Stock Market plays such a vital role in the lives of most Americans. 401K, company stock options, and Investment firms, all rely on the stock market. The last thing people want to read or hear is that the thing they rely on for their retirement has just dropped shockingly low. This is exactly what people are dealing with Thursday January 7th 2016. The latest Wall Street meltdown comes just as China's own stock market fell 7% last night. The china stock market incurred losses so serious that all trading had to be stopped in the opening half hour of trading. The markets never reopened for the rest of the day. Then, crude oil dropped to its lowest margin in 12 years, falling below the numbers during the financial crisis of 2008. According to CNN Money, the Dow plummeted over 300 points ...

A brief update on writing for Daily News Online

From the Desk of Mohammed SHK: It's a New Year, and that means, we've got some new faces behind Daily News Online.   So I'd like to take a brief moment  to discuss a few things so everybody knows what they're doing; how to do it, how you get paid for your freelancing, and what to expect in the future. You are not to address me as my real name online; on social media, Facebook or any where else. Some of you actually know me by my real name.  Please respect that.  You can address me by which ever name my real name or simply SHK in e-mails, however, publicly you are to address me as SHK and that is the only way you can address me. My real name has never been released to the public, that, is why some handed me the nickname "The Ghost" many years ago.  If you are e-mailed personally by a ...

When thots try to look like @KylieJenner

In a vane world where nobody knows how to be themselves, this one, only takes the cake and let it be a lesson: Not everything should be copied. One Briton learned that the hard way after she apparently acquired lip fillers on groupon in Thailand, some of which, probably wasn't the brightest idea in the barrel. Amelia Greville, who now lives in Thailand, claims that she was "illegally" tricked into injecting silicon into her lips rather than the much discussed Juvederm used by celebs like Kylie Jenner.  Greville, pictured,  further claims that the silly injections  have made her "feel ugly" and she has become a "victim of bullying" at the school in which she works. Now, it must be noted, silicon is illegal in Thailand but it is unknown whether or not the injections were actu...

President Barack Obama’s Emotional Stance On Gun Control

Gun control is a topic that consumes the minds of a lot of people. With increased violence from gun shootings around the United States, many people wonder what local authorities and government are doing to solve this growing problem. It seems that guns continue to reach the hands of those that would do others harm far too often. Well, this is a concern not just for the American public, but for the President of the United States as well. President Obama is not known for his whimsical sunny personality in public, but when it comes to guns, specifically gun violence, his emotional side comes to life. In October of 2015 president Obama said with utter frustration and disbelief, “we've become numb to this,” after reports of yet another mass tragedy due to gun violence came to light. That day,...

Facebook Creator and CEO Will Create His Own Virtual Artificially Intelligent Assistant For 2016

Many people live very busy lives these days. From work, to taking care of a family, to hanging out with friends, to perusing hobbies, many people just find that the day seems to have less and less time in it. Wouldn't it be nice to just hire someone to help with a lot of the mundane tasks people do on a daily basis? Better yet, build someone who would manage your home and life so you could pursue other endeavors? Well, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg says his goal for 2016 is to create his very own personal virtual artificially intelligent assistant. The Facebook giant posted on Sunday January 3rd 2016, “my personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work.” Zuckerberg also went on to say that he will not use the engineers he has working ...

North Korea could declare NUCLEAR WAR says former British Ambassador to pariah state

PYONGYANG --  Known as the Pariah state of the world, North Korea, is in the headlines this week after it emerged that previous reports that indicated the country was in possession of a hydro-bomb may actually be ... true.   Officials in country's like China are "deeply worried" about Kim Jong Un being in the possession of such a bomb, mostly, because it could "cause catastrophic damage" throughout most of Asia if it gets set off. The news comes after weeks of speculation that Kim Jong Un illegally developed the H-Bomb, which, most are wondering how he managed to smuggle such materials for such a bomb inside the hermit nation that's pretty much been wrangled by sanctions globally. Experts and global analysts aren't quite sure though. Experts claim that the reported explosion that...

Crazy Alabama judge tries (again) to block same-sex marriage

MOBILE, ALABAMA --  Alabama's top judge Roy Moore is at it again. In his latest attempts to block same-sex marriage in the state, Moore, announced that circuit judges and the like are "advised and allowed" to circumvent providing same-sex couples marriage licenses entirely across the board (even though its the law in said country). Moore claims that circuit judges and the like were "legally confused" as to whose ruling they were suppose to follow after America's landmark ruling last year legalizing same-sex marriage all together.   Judges in Elmore; Mobile, and Madison have all complied with Moore's ass backwards ruling --- which is in direct defiance of a Supreme Court ruling and could cost Alabama millions.

U.S fast food chain Chipotle subpoenaed by feds over norovirus outbreak

We've warned you before, we'll warn you again, beware of Chipotle.   Daily News Online has learned that Chipotle has confirmed that Chipotle has been ordered by the federal government to produce a "broad range" of documents dating back a few years on its food policies and overall management of its restaurants against claims that not only is the restaurants food nearly deadly -- employment infractions exist among the company. But those aren't the only woes the company has faced in the past three months.  Since the beginning of the norovirus outbreak in California which sickened some 234 people, college youngsters in Boston also felt the wrath of Chipotle's deadly food sickening more than 140 kids in total. Shares in the fast food chain have dropped nearly 37% in the past three months....

Ted Cruz, not born in the U.S, wants to be U.S President

And if that probably wasn't the most ironic thing you've ever heard coming from the GOP, then, wait for it, we have more. The GOP is the same party that once heralded a "Birthers" movement against Barack Obama after they at one point claimed he wasn't born in America. Now, they're ready to nominate someone who ironically wasn't born in America: Ted Cruz. Earlier this week,  candidate Donald Trump posed a number of questions in numerous interviews and Twitter tweets ("Can Ted Cruz actually run for President given that he wasn't born in America?"). The question, certainly, poses the legal matter as to whether or not Cruz can actually do so. Cruz, quickly responded. "People will continue to make political noise about it, but as a legal matter it’s quite straightforward." He pointed t...

The United States has another Presidential Candidate

As shocking as this one is, and boy, is it shocking, the U.S has another Presidential candidate.   Late last night, it was announced that Lib politician (think former gov of New Mexico) Gary Johnson is now running for U.S President against the likes of Donald Trump; Hillary Clinton, and Bernie Sanders -- perhaps three of the biggest cash machines in recent political memory. "I want to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for president; I am hoping to get the Libertarian nomination," Johnson told Fox Business Network's Neil Cavuto. Johnson had tons to say about the current state of the U.S "the $20 trillion debt we will have when Obama leaves office is out of this world" and notes government today is "unwieldy" and "out of control." "Hillary is a known quantity who's not goi...
