The race to the 2020 Election couldn’t be any nastier than it already is. amid election-models widely predicting that Trump will lose the White House, Republicans far-and-wide are widely furious over the idea of mail-in ballots. Initially, the election was expected to go down as planned but with the pandemic wreaking havoc across America — the idea of said election still being safe for folks to vote in person has been a cause for discussion. Those discussions sometime in February at least, ignited the idea of on a large scale using mail-in ballots.

While that may seem as a compromise to ensure that Americans are not deprived of their right to vote out of fears for their health — Republicans are calling foul. Repub. firebrands including Candace Owens; the Trump ‘s (including the President himself) and more have all claimed that such ballots would ignite bizarre cases of voter fraud.

Last week, MI Sec of State Jocelyn Benson sent out applications for said ballots not the actual ballots (compared to Nevada which sent everybody who was legally registered to vote a mail-in ballot.)

For Trump that meant yet another whirlwind of purposeful lies. On Twitter, he penned the following tweet.

It must be noted that mail-in ballots aren’t actually illegal. Republicans fear mail-in ballots because it is widely expected if they’re used, voter turnout would significantly increase due to the convenience of being able to use the ballot. In fact, a previous claim touted by Trump and Republicans alleged that such ballots amount to voter fraud (and that such fraud exists) but a study found that that wasn’t truthful at all.
