Some U.S states are banning the sale of non-essential items all together at stores like Wal-Mart and Target

In a twist — there are now some states that aren’t allowed to let stores like Wal-Mart and Target sell non-essential items on their sales floor. According to multiple reports, there are at least a handful of local governments who’ve enacted bans in further efforts to herd people into their homes.

States like Vermont have already enacted the bans but it is unclear just how many states intend to actually catch on. Earlier this week, states like New York in areas like Brooklyn stores like Target were a little late to the social distancing party.
