Big news in Texas today as it has been confirmed that the 15th patient in America has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The CDC confirmed on Thursday that the patient (who is being held at JBSA-Lackland) was among those evacuated from Wuhan during the only American flight out of the ravaged area.
Just last night the CDC confirmed that the 14th patient had been discovered but that has now risen to 15. Reports indicate that the CDC is bracing for “community spreading” of the virus in potentially hot-bed areas. In the CDC ‘s own words, they’ve noted that spreading is probably likely.
The news comes amid reports of even more people being released from quarantine following testing, although not everybody was actually tested. Individuals are also being held in Nebraska and California under federal quarantine orders.
