Trump ‘s Impeachment Trial Has Begun

And it is already sort of probably the biggest trial of the century. On Thursday, Chief Justice John Roberts was sworn in as presiding officer over the trial — while 99 Senators were sworn in as jurors. Interestingly, McConnell was sworn in as a Senator although he has already publicly pledged his willful-biasedness.

Shortly after noon today, 7 House Managers, including Rep. Adam Schiff presented the high-crimes charges against Donald Trump.

“Using the powers of his high office, President Trump solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States presidential election,” he said, laying out the abuse of power charge.

So the trial begins…
