Boris Johnson won’t hold pep rally with American counterpart Donald Trump

Looks like Donald Trump won’t get his ego-stroking here in Britain after all. The American head of state (whom is currently under investigation to be removed from office for high crimes and misdemeanours) arrived in the U.K for NATO talks on Tuesday. It was announced hours afterwards that 10 Downing St and Boris Johnson himself wanted nothing to do with Trump ‘s arrival — out of fear that it could hurt his re-election campaign.

In the weeks leading up to the arrival of Trump, Tory strategists have long felt that even one misstep by the American leader could potentially spell doom for Johnson — who is gambling his entire political career on the upcoming general election this month.

Trump is in town for NATO talks as world leaders determine what exactly they should do about the growing threat of human annihilation in Syria.
