Beyonce + The Lion King = World Stop.

The Lion King live action film is set to hit theaters this weekend. Which is already bound to be huge.

Holding off on that. In true Queen B fashion Beyonce has curated an album that I will have on repeat for the next 24 hours.

It is just…go listen!

Beyonce Beehive has said

“The Lion King: The Gift” features JAY-Z, Blue Ivy, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Pharrell, as well as some of the most talented African artists of the day to both pay tribute to the iconic film #TheLionKing and bring the authentic sounds of African music to the world.

Beyoncé curated a masterful recording, a robust soundscape bringing together some of her favorite, most talented and important African artists including:

Busiswa, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Mr. Eazi, Burna Boy, Salatiel, WizKid, Tiwa Savage, Shatta Wale, Moonchild Sanelly & more.

The album has left me wanting to explore more African music and dig deeper into my roots.

What are you favorite songs from the album?
