WASHINGTON —   According to a Washington Post report, Jared Kushner, is now the prime target of the FBI ‘s investigation into Trump ‘s  controversial connection to the Kremlin.  The Post reportedly uncovered that Jared Kushner and several members of the original transition team, uh,  put together private kickbacks and meetings to organise a private line to the Kremlin.

The report alleges that Kushner along with Bannon and other top  White House officials attempted to set up the private communications line way back when the elections were still going on in the United States. Interestingly, this goes against everything Trump himself has ever said about Russia’s perceived meddling in the election.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the report, is,  the fact that the Post uncovered alleged use of Russian diplomatic facilities to hide their discussions and meetings from government monitors.

The news comes from apparent diplomatic cables and documents intercepted by the U.S in terms of Russia.  The cables reportedly revealed that  Kushner made the suggestion to Russian officials during private meetings at Trump Tower on Dec 1 of last year, despite, the claim that Trump previously made that the connection to Russia was unsubstantiated.

The disclosure of such suggestions and meetings came from Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, who per the documents, was “taken back that an American would suggest or asked to be given permission to use Russian intelligence locations for government purposes to do with the United States”.

The news was first reported to the Kremlin shortly after the meeting in Trump Tower, during, the time that Russia itself was being investigated for hacking the DNC in relation to the leak of Clinton ‘s e-mails during the 2016 election season.

Particularly of interest to FBI officials, perhaps, is  the unusual pattern of attempts by Trump ‘s team to conceal connections and communications with their Russian counterparts. Most notably, Michael Flynn,  was a top former member of Trump ‘s team. Flynn, found his Washington ambitions cut short after a series of untruthful statements about his conversations with Kaslyak first surfaced.
